If you're a freelancer, solopreneur, business owner or are self-employed, you're welcome to join the Jumpstart Your Day Forum for Freelancers to be motivated, learn and give/share encouragement and support. But not all forums are right for everyone. Please take a moment to read through the JYD Forum guidelines before purchasing your membership to make sure it's the right place for you.
Jumpstart Your Day Forum Guidelines
The Jumpstart Your Day forums exist in conjunction with the Jumpstart Your Day: 101 Daily Motivations…book series. I believe that lives can be
changed by the power of positivity combined with encouragement, support and knowledge. I’ve seen the effects in my own life and have helped facilitate change in the lives of others with these same concepts and beliefs. As the building blocks of Jumpstart Your Day, these concepts are woven throughout my books and I use them as a theme in all other aspects of the Jumpstart Your Day business.
The forums are built on a foundation of mutual respect, positivity, encouragement and support. While we all have our difficult days, these forums are not a place to take it out on other members, complain incessantly, treat others disrespectfully or spread negativity. There’s no room for this behavior in the Jumpstart Your Day forums and it will not be tolerated.
It should also go without saying that these forums are not a place to solicit others for money or goods. Unfortunately, on occasion, members of forums outside of JYD have asked others for money. Doing so here will be grounds for immediate membership termination. If you are solicited for money or goods in a Jumpstart Your Day forum, please notify me immediately through the Contact Us page. However, please feel free to talk about your projects and provide information about them when doing so fits with the forum topic(s) and isn't an outright solicitation of sales.
By adhering to the guidelines and remembering the theme of Jumpstart Your Day, we can all benefit from the encouragement, support and positivity of one another, as well as the learning opportunities. Coupled with instructional and motivational components, it is my mission to help you become empowered to create and achieve your best life.
With that in mind, there are two simple rules for all forum members:
1. Treat everyone with respect, offering them the same support, encouragement and positive attitude you will enjoy from other members.
2. If you need to vent or lament about a negative situation you can do so. But you must follow it with a positive solution possibility.
For example:
Vent: I’ve really started off on the wrong foot this workday. Everything that can go wrong, has gone wrong and I even forgot to call an
important client. This day has really stunk so far.
Positive Solution: I’m going to take a walk for 30 minutes to clear my mind, so I can shift my attitude and give myself a fresh start. I know if I keep
up like this, the day is only going to get worse.
